It's a waste of time when I was pregnant with my first I went to 41 weeks I went to chemist to get it and it didn't work it just tasted vile didn't make my stools bad just waste of time

From what I understand castors oil really is just a stool softener and helps clear out the bowels and if you are already about to go into spontaneous labor the actions of clearing out the bowels helps begin the process. I don't think it actually triggers labor
