A period after Mirena removal
Just a heads up to anyone who has been waiting for a period after removal of Mirena:
About two days after removal I had blood, almost like a period, but very short. This was after not having a period while having it in for two and a half years.
I was put back on the pill, I just wanted to have a period again, and no period for two months. I stopped taking the pill to try and regulate it. I have finally had a period three and a half months after removal.
I was concerned because I hadn't had one yet. It was hard to find information since most who had it taken out were trying to conceive. As a real live person, I am stating that it can take awhile for menstration to return after removing Mirena. I am so glad to have a cycle again.
