What do I do?

Okay so my best friend/cousin and I are 16 and she lost her virginity when she was 14. However she has a boyfriend that she obviously does stuff with and the other day she told me she had a miscarriage but after all of this she still hasn't told her mom and she is not on the pill and doesn't always use condoms. This has been an ongoing occurrence now so what should I do as a friend without upsetting her?

Make sure she is educated about using protection. If she doesn't listen to you, then that's her fault. Ultimately, she has to make the choice to protect herself.

Yes, you both are very very young and have a lot ahead of you! Contraceptive is a good thing when you are sexually active. If no birth control, use a condom. Talk to her, let her know that it's okay and that her parents rather have her on birthcontrol then be 16 and pregnant!!!

You should try to talk to her about going on BC and using condoms. Maybe she just can't get the nerve to go by herself. Maybe she is trying to get pregnant again. Maybe she is just being dumb (not trying to be mean but there is really no good reason to not use birth control especially at your ages). All you can do is try and talk and suggest it. If she still doesn't change then that is on her and if she gets some infection or disease or pregnant you will know you tried to help. Good luck.

Not only for pregnancy but for STDs as well, I know so many girl that for things like clamidia around Your ages just from not using protection once and tho some are curable, a lot of them can mess up your reproductive system, cause extreme pain, and are just plain nasty.
