Why's it so hard to find a job that hires DAY SHIFT for CNA/care giver..it's so frustrating. Is this just in the state I live or all over?! Does anyone else hate working 2nd shift?

I work day shift, but I worked pms for 5 years first! Then left for a year and they begged for me back, I said only for day shift.....got it! Boom! Just keep looking....everywhere around me wants all shifts so they are out there!

Because the people with seniority probably pick day shift. Most jobs that are always open the new people work at night.

Lol I just saw someone else post about a 2nd shift job as well. I guess it's just life. People need care from CNA's or caregivers 24/7 so you probably can't be too picky with hours if that's the career you are choosing. Maybe try looking at the positives. Maybe you don't want to work a 2nd shift job but I know CNAS get paid pretty well. Significantly more than minimum wage at least. That's a plus. 2nd shift might also be a lot easier if you are a CNA because usually CNAS are in nursing homes and elderly people probably go to bed pretty early right? That's a bonus. Idk, I myself prefer 1st shift as well and where I live it's hard to get hired anywhere for first shift unless you have children and literally CANT. Good luck.
