Spot on thigh?

Over a few months, my SO has developed a growing red, raised, itchy, leathery spot inside his thigh. And it has a round, darker middle. It doesn't pop, it doesn't hurt. It just Itches him and keeps getting bigger. And it's thick, like when u press on it, feels like a knot.... AnY ideas? He's freaking out.

I have exactly the same spot on the inside of my left thigh. I went to the DR a couple of years ago and they said it was a "fatty tissue lump" - it has got a bit bigger so I am going to go back for a check-up to make sure it's ok. But mine is also very itchy sometimes, it's hard, it's like scar tissue and is about 4mm in length. It's an eye-sore and I'd love to have it off! Tell your S/O not to worry. But still get it checked out. 👍🏻

Anything that changes in color and/or size, or has in irregular border, should be checked to rule out melanoma.
