Zoloft?

Question

I just started Zoloft for anxiety and I am not liking the way I feel on it does anyone else feel the same?

I took it for about a month and would sleep 20 hours a day. I'm not joking I would wake up get dressed for school sleep through most of my classes in high school then come home and go to bed at 5 p.m. after I finish my homework and sleep until 6 a.m.

All anti-depression and anti-anxiety medications can take awhile for your body to adjust. I had my first three land me in the ER I felt so horrible. You may need longer to adjust or you may need to try a different medication.

I took it for a few months 2 years ago. (And about 10+ years ago when I was a teen.) This time, my family doc put me on it and it worked well for the first week. Could've been me wanting it to work. Then all of a sudden, I started getting these "shakes". Couldn't hold a pen. Voice would tremble, couldn't answer my phone at work. We to my therapist, and she put me on something else. Can't remember what that was. 
I only know it caused me to miscarry. I haven't been on anything since.

I was on Zoloft for almost 6 years. I'd call the doctor to see if these are normal side effects, but it can take time to get used to the medication.

Took it for a month before bed so I wouldn't fall asleep during the day. Had to stop taking it because it gave me suicidal thoughts and switched to Citalopram (Celexa) and it worked a lot better. If you're taking it for awhile now like month+ and it's making you feel bad I would switch what you're on for something better.

I was on it I loved it besides the sleeping all the time but that's what it's for plus it you depressed not eating that's what my doc suggest for me because I have depression and anxiety and wasn't sleeping or eating and it mad me do both!☺️

I never liked how Zoloft made me feel but I was also pretty young when I was on it. I always felt really bad the first week but adjusted the longer I was on, but never liked how I felt. Zoloft is one of the best medications for anxiety but there are other options that have less side effects.

I took that for a while, gained a HELL a lot of weight and made me very angry. But everyone's different, my friend took zoloft and it helped her..so I don't know! If you feel bad on zoloft i'd just reccomend you stop taking it.

I took it for a couple weeks and stopped taking it bc it made my heart race like crazy and made me feel extremely weird
