Have y'all started purchasing stuff for the baby?

This is my first. Unknown sex for a couple more weeks. When did/are you planning on purchasing baby items?

Ive picked up cheap things like onsies or lil shoes from thrift stores and such.

I have a friend who brought me over a bunch of maternity clothes and books over the weekend because she was so excited for me. 😂

We buy a package diapers band wipes each week alternating. Additionally we purchase one small thing like a gender neutral sleeper, white onesies, pacis, a book, blankets, just things we see and like.

We have the carseat and stroller, pack n play, a grow with me saucer, baby bullet and a bookshelf. We just about have all the nursery furniture. We're getting the dressers this weekend, then we just need to decide on a theme for bedding and decorations.

We haven't really bought much for clothes. I'm waiting for the gender scan to verify we are infact having a boy.

We also just finished are cloth diaper stash.

We wanted to get all the big stuff out of the way so we wouldn't be financially and mentally stressed the next two trimesters. My first child I waited until my babyshower and got nothing that I needed and ended ip spending a lot of money I reallu didn't have. So, we plan to have the nursery complete, by 20weeks, expect for some decorations.

My mom has bought for the new baby, but we have everything from my first (he'll be two in September) so I don't think we're missing anything except a bigger diaper bag (cloth diapers for two). Unless baby is a girl. In which case I might get some girly outfits for her to wear (along with all her big brothers clothes). If he's a boy then we're definitely all set. 😊

I have picked up just a few small things here and there. Mostly because I see a good deal. Someone I know had breathable baby bumpers and I got them for $5 or $50 for a hardly used baby carrier that normally costs twice that.

I plan to buy a lot of gender neutral items, so mostly I am waiting until I am out of my first trimester and can worry a little less.

I don't want to invest in too many things because after my previous miscarriage seeing the baby booties we used to announce that pregnancy was really hard. So small things that I can hide away if need be.

I have nothing left over from my other 2, wasn't planning on having anymore lol. I'm 3 months tomorrow and I have a pretty good start already. I always like to buy things when I see them on sale so that's what I've been doing with baby supplies especially since I'm starting all over lol. So far I've gotten a diaper bag, some swaddle blankets, a few neutral outfits, boppy pillow, a rockaroo (that was 1/2 off!!!) and some other odds and ends. Plus my SIL gave us a rock and play, bouncy seat, and baby monitors.

Theres a consignment store by me that has monthly 25cent sales, so I've started buying baby clothes in newborn and 3 months sizes since those tend to look new. Other than that haven't bought anything realty. Oh, but I have started sewing my cloth diaper stash!!

No but only because I already have a 13 month old. I'm waiting to see if we're having a boy or girl-- then I'll start! Right now I'm trying to focus all my time/attention/spending on her while it's just her!
