Is dying your hair safe?

It's a personal descion for sure.  I'm a hairdresser and have had my roots dyed from 4weeks pregnant up to now 28weeks. We have clients that choose to only do highlights and we have clients that choose to wait until after baby is born. I work with the chemicals so I personally felt like it was a bit pointless to not have my roots done. I make sure to have it only left on for the amount of time recommended to get plenty of fresh air breaks. But, honestly I think that the chemicals are much less harsh then they used to be. 
Do only what makes you feel comfortable though.

I chose not to, but I am mostly crunchy and only eat organic and use all natural products in general. Do I think my decision is the only way? Nah, I'm sure Baby would be fine either way, but I feel good knowing that I'm not exposing him to any kind of harsh chemical, even if that means I'm sporting some orange hair.

I asked my doctor if I could dye it my first pregnancy and he said it was fine but to wait until after 1st trimester. I dyed it then and I dye it this time around too.. My hair is red so it looks really bad when it fades out. Just don't sit in the salon all day long.. It's the chemicals that aren't that great for us to be breathing in. Also you take a chance of your hair not coming out the color you wanted it to that has something to do with your hormones. But mine came out fine :) lol

I'm on my 4th baby and dye my hair when I want , it's the chemical that you breathe in that's supposed to be bad, I have healthy kids and this baby is fine so I will do what I want as long as it doesn't harm him

I was told by a hairdresser that highlights were ok b/c they don't put the product directly on your scalp.  I would hold off on dying your whole head especially doing it at home! :-)
