Bassinet question

Our bed is on the floor, not on a frame. A regular bassinet worked for our first born because we had a frame at the time. But now that we don't I'm not sure a regular bassinet would work, or if something like the picture would work if placed on the floor beside the bed?  We sometimes bed shared with our first because I was breast feeding, but he also slept in the bassinet a lot before we moved him to his own room around 6months. I'm just worried if a low bassinet would work and still be safe for baby. I don't want to co-sleep to much this time, but I don't want baby to far away because I will be breast feeding again.
