I originally heard about Glow from my bestfriend, She just found out she was pregnant and suggested this app to me since it worked so well for her. I found out yesterday that she lost the baby. I have an appointment today at the clinic to take a pregnancy test. My AF is late by around 5 days. I was so excited to go on this journey with my best friend but now I dont know what to do if I get my BFP, she was going to be the first person I told but now she is in a very sad place and I dont want to hurt her. Any advice on when or how to tell my best friend about my bfp after she just had a miscarriage?

I think you need to wait a bit longer than a week. Please realize that she may not want to celebrate your happy news at all and you cannot or shouldn't be mad at her for that.

I would wait the "proper" three months. That's when you'll be telling everyone else anyways right? And she will be in a much better place by then. I know it sucks to have to keep it in for so long, my mom is like my best friend and If and when I finally get pregnant I can't tell her until 3 months cuz she's such a blabber mouth she can't keep a secret at all so everyone would know by three months and I want to surprise everyone. So although my situation is VERY different I get why it would be hard. But I truly think it's for the best. And if you really can't hold it in for that long at least wait a month. A week or two isn't going to do anything for her.

I think I'd wait a week or so if you did get a BFP, it's going to hurt either way but maybe giving her a few days to process her grief will take some of the sting away... Of course if she's on this app, she might see your post. Best of luck, and congrats if you get your BFP!

Ill rather wait its very sad when you have a miscarriage and seeing other girls get pregnant its a process that we have to go through i recomend fr you to wait more time i found out inwas pregnant and i told averyone it was very hard fr me to tellthem i lost it so just wait a little more 😘

She should be happy for you regardless. I had a miscarriage in February and then 2 of my really close friends told me they were pregnant in March and May. I was thrilled for them! It's a little hard but I was so happy for them. One took me out to dinner to tell me. The other told me while we were hanging out in her pool. Both said they felt bad tell me! But I said "unless it was you're fault, you have nothing to be sorry about."

I was 14 weeks pregnant when I had a miscarriage but my sis found out she was pregnant a week after my miscarriage. Was i hurt yes but at the same time I was happy for her it wasn't her fault I lost the baby you know. But she ended up losing her son at 23 weeks. If she is your bf she will be hurt by still be by your side and hope everything goes great for you :)

I found out I was pregnant at just under 4 weeks. I found out one of my best friends was 8 weeks pregnant two days later . I lost my baby a week and a half later. She doesn't want hers but is keeping hers. It hurts to hear her say that. In your situation I would be so hurt had I found out that she was pregnant after me. Regardless of her situation and wanting to or not to keep the baby. It would sting. If I were to find out that another friend was pregnant after me it would hurt so bad even though I would be excited for them. I would wait a at least a month for her to grieve. I am 1.5 weeks post mc and it's really hard to understand the amount of hurt until you are on that side.

as an update the test came back negative but I have another one scheduled for next week. I thought Id feel discouraged by the negative but I still have faith, I just feel something. 
Thank you so much for your advice and stories its all really helpful even though i got a bfn because it helps remind me i really need to be there for my friend right now and focus on helping her out.
