Baby Boy arrived 6/01 instead of 6/10

Got induced unexpectedly due to high blood pressure not related to preeclampsia. I arrived at the hospital Friday night at 9:45pm and was started on cytotec to soften the cervix since I was not dilated at all. It ended up being the LONGEST 51 hours of my life! After cytotec and Pitocin things still were not progressing so doctor ruptured my water bag but baby boy became upset and his heart rate immediately began dropping. All meds were turned off and I was given oxygen to try and help baby but it wasn't working so doctor decided to put water back into the uterus for baby, that helped a little but for the next 12 hours baby's heart rate was unstable and I still was stuck on 6cm dilated. Doctor decided to help baby come down and in doing so realized he was half stuck behind my pelvic bone which is why I was not dilating and why baby was in distress. She was able to adjust baby's head and then we waited to see if it would help him otherwise I was going in for a csection. Doctor checked 30 minutes later and to our surprise I was ready to push! I pushed for one hour exactly and baby boy was born weighing 8lbs on the dot and 20.5 inches long! He's doing great, perfectly healthy! It was a long, scary labor but he's all worth it💙
