Short period

I usually have my period for 5-6 days but this time I started off with 2-3 teaspoons of blood in underwear on the 2nd of this month and then light bleeding then the next day was heavy bleeding today being the 4th I woke up and it was like brown spotting/light on my pad (sorry tmi) and I wipe and it's light bleeding. Idk but I'm confused has this happened to anyone else?
