Gender recheck?

I got an elective ultrasound to find out the gender early, I was told it was a girl. A manager called me from the place an hour later and says they shouldn't have told me it was a girl. I go in Friday with a " senior technologist" to hopefully get a straight answer. I'm so confused. Has this happened to anyone? And what was the outcome? My friend says when this happens it's usually a girl...
