Spotting at 8 weeks?

I don't remember spotting this early with my first baby, and I'm worrying a bit.

Here we go with another round of, "Is this too stupid to call my doctor about?" Of all the things I miss about my first pregnancy, worrying about everything was not one of them!

I was spotting brown at 8 weeks as well. I called the nurse at my doctors office and I am glad I did. It was just reassuring. She even gave me a potential reason for the spotting so it is always worth calling for peace of mind.

I started bleeding around 6 weeks and ER doc and my OB said that many women experience this and go on to have full-term, healthy pregnancies. I stopped bleeding at 8 weeks and then started spotting again on and off at 11 weeks. If they hear a heartbeat after the initial bleeding, you should be out of the woods. Good luck to you.

if there is blood it's always good to call! It may be nothing, but its better to be safe than sorry.

If the blood is pink or brown and you're not in pain, it's probably not anything to be worried about.  Its when its red and you're cramping that you should worry (as a general rule)

I had a bleed -- like non stop -- from week 5 through 8. They've no idea what caused it but Baby is fine, and we're at fourteen weeks! Even so, I had to be put on light duty at work until it stopped. Best to be safer than sorry in these situations. I'd call :3 Good Luck!
