Anyone tried the South Beach Diet? Was it sucessful?

I'm beginning the South Beach Diet on Saturday, and I was curious to see if any of you ladies have been successful with it.

It works since it's just a carb restrictive diet but it's definitely not a long term solution.

I used it in my early 20s and lost weight but I have better luck just monitoring my carbs regularly instead of eliminating important foods like fruit.
