Can u get pregnant 6 weeks after having twins? While expressing & no period

Question

So I had my twins 6 weeks ago and started on a low hormone pill as I express milk for my twins every 3 hours and don't want it to affect my supply. Last night me and my partner had sex which first time since we had the babies but no condom. I started the pill two days ago and been expressing since babies are born, can I get pregnant again? I haven't had a period since the twins were born as well.

It's 100% possible.  You ovulate before your period shows up, so no period doesn't mean you didn't ovulate already. My best friend just made this mistake and her babies will be 13 months apart.  Also with the mini pill, it's not effective for a full month and if you don't take it within 2-3 hours of the same time every day it's not effective.

Your more likely to get pregnant after having a baby. That's one of the reason to tell you to wait 6 weeks before having sex.

You can always get pregnant. Your period doesn't have to be there first simply because ovulation comes before your period.

Possible but not likely... If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't have unprotected sex again until you've had some predictable cycles on the birth control. I'd also be calculating out when to check a pregnancy test and making sure to check.

My doctor said it is absolutely not true that if you haven't had a period you cannot get pregnant, you definitely can!
