36 weeks checkup

So I went in today and doc checked me, I'm 2cm dilated but of course I could be here for a while. She told me that if the week before my due date that I'm at least at a 3 then we can induce! 😁 anyone else been told this? I just am scared because I don't want to cause problems and I definitely don't want induction to result in a c-section all because I didn't let it happen naturally 😩
