Do you have to get a positive on an ovulation test to conceive?

I've taken a bunch of tests and all of them are negative but my cm and everything else is good to go. Do I need that positive? 
The test says they have to be the same color or darker

I tested at night and got an absolute positive try not to test any earlier than 2pm all mine came up negative befor that time and make sure u pee long enough to get the best results hope for a positive can't wait for the update!!

Sometimes you have to test multiple times in a day to get a positive sometimes tests are defective as well.
