Placenta encapsulation?

Question

Just wondering if anyone else is looking into encapsulation. I really want to, but it is a little pricey in my area. I have suffered from depression and I'm worried about post partum depression, just feeling like I might not even need it because I am fairly young. Has anyone taken them before? Results?

Just heard an update yesterday that scientists are not convinced about the benefits of this and are actually concerned about the dangers.  Your placenta contains all the toxins from your pregnancy that it could filter to protect your baby.  All my own research has pointed me towards omega-3 supplements, good nutrition, and staying active to keep the postpartum depression at bay.

I was thinking about it. I actually read an article yesterday now discounting everything it says it helps with :-/ I ended up not getting all the supplies in time so I'm not doing it. You can do it yourself as well. Plenty of information on line which I don't always trust lol

I am! There are a few women who professionally do it here in my area.. I am excited because I've heard nothing but fabulous things especially for breastfeeding moms and moms who are more prone to depression! I am paying $165 for just the pills that's should last several months... I look at it like if it helps produce more milk and gives me more energy then totally worth it!
