Light bed rest?

I'm 33 weeks and my doctor put me on light bed rest. Does this mean stay home all the time or can I still go out and get the things I Need too prepare for the baby? I have help to carry stuff and pick stuff up, I just need to go and walk around and pick stuff out. This ok?

I would ask your doctor what they consider light bed rest, honestly.

I was on modified bed test and was told to take it easy...I did but probably should have just done nothing! I was hospitalized at 28 weeks and delivered at 29. My little one is now 3 years old but it was a very very long and difficult road.

I would limit your walking as much as possible. With my first, I was put on light bed rest at 30 weeks but I felt great. So I would still go places but I didn't lift and I tried to sit as much as possible. However, I must have done too much because I ended up in the hospital my next appointment. That was not fun at all!

Light means little to nothing. So I would say your not restricted to the bed however when you are out and about although you may not be doing any physical labor walking is very hard on your body so you would need to limit your amount of actual physical activity which includes walking.
