Placenta accreta - possibility?

So, I was recently reading a piece about placenta accreta. And everything the writer went through, is exactly what has happened during this pregnancy for me. I've never heard of it before but it sounds pretty serious if not caught early. I spoke to my doctor who states it's something they can diagnose easier in the later part of the third trimester (hence why they haven't yet, I just now entered my third trimester.) I do know that I have a larger than normal placenta, and will continue to get growth scans every 2 weeks until delivery. So if I do have it, it will be caught early enough to plan and prepare. My only issue is that if I do, I may have to have a scheduled c-section. Which after 2 vaginal births sort of freaks me out. It's a whole new territory for me. And depending on the severity of the condition, if I do hemorrhage and they can't stop it, only way to is an emergency hysterectomy. This has been a difficult and whirlwind pregnancy as is. Has anyone had this, or known anyone who has to share their experience? Or anyone who's had a c-section share some advice for recovery and prep? I'm more nervous for that than a possible hysterectomy. This is baby #3 and we were already decided to have her be our last. Thank you ladies!
