Do you think a brother/sister friendship can develop into more?

I have friends who dated for a short period, they remain pretty close friends, fight like brother and sister, do you think they could eventually date again, would it last? Why or why not?

Definitely. Me and my SO had a "thing" when we first met, and I fell for him really hard. He decided to date someone else, as did I. So for 4 years, we were just really good friends, had a brother/sister friendship, we always looked out for each other and were really close. We've been dating for a year and a half now, and I couldn't be happier. Its a lot better that not only did we try and fail the first time, but that we were best friends when we got together again.

My husband and I had that kind of relationship for 4 or 5 years and have a very happy and healthy marriage thanks to that friendship.  You get to know someone on a different level when sex is off the table.

Me and my husband grew up together. Everyone told us we where like brother and sister, and he even protected me like a big brother.. But he was my best friend.. And now 22 years later we have been happily married for 3years and dating for 8years ❤️❤️
