How soon can I get away with testing and getting accurate results?

Period us due the 11th how soon before can I test with getting accurate results and what brand test do ya'll recommend?

My period is due the 11th as well. I'm trying not to test too early, but I'm going to test first thing tomorrow with a cheap dollar store HPT. I've never gotten a positive early so I don't know if it'll be too soon to test.
