My baby is 1 month old & both big toe nails look like this. They look ingrown to me. Like the skin is growing over the nail. They aren't red & don't seem to be sore. He has a doctors appointment in 2 days. Anyone had any experience like this?

My son's toes are exactly like that too. I talked to the visiting nurse about it. She said it is perfectly normal because of them having pudgy toes. Just watch for redness or if baby cries when they are touched. Then it would indicate an ingrown toenail.

Yes its normal, baby toenails havent grown long yet, they are NOT ingrown. I have had two like this. Have a grwat day
