My advice would be to make sure you really know what is going on with your body to assure you're taking it for the right reasons. I was going on a year ttc so OB was trying it bc progesterone levels weren't that high so he was thinking I wasn't ovulating regularly. Spent 6 months on it, severe morning sickness like symptoms, headaches, and raging mood swings. It. Was. Horrible. Nothing happened so I went to an RE..he did a lap...my intestines were in a weird spot, laying on top of my tubes practically cutting them off. He moved them and I was pregnant within 30 days. I spent all that time and heartache on clomid for nothing. 
I also have a sister in law that was miserable on it for 4 months...come to find out my brother in law was the problem.

Second month on clomid. First month I didn't ovulate. Crazy mood swings and hot flashes and headaches! Praying its all worth it. Good luck

This is my 4th month on clomid and I am still trying after having a laparoscopy in December. Be sure to check risks and side effects!
