TTC with irregular periods!

My fiancee and myself have been trying to conceive for about a year. Problem is I had the mirena iud for 2 years... Removed in February 2012...havent Used any form of birth control since. My periods are far from any form of regular... My question is how do I get them regular... I don't have health insurance and can't afford birth control to regulate them. ...any advice?
