Home school

So I'm thinking about homeschool because my school system has gotten aweful. High school students selling drugs at school, and doing them in the bathrooms.. But at the same time I don't want my children to not have enough social interaction with others their age.. I have a lot of family who were homeschooled ( my mom had 6 sisters and 5 brothers) so I have a large family, and some of my cousins who were homeschooled don't have many social skills, but others are more outgoing then me.. Do you think homeschool makes a difference in kids?
