Swimming in first trimester?

Doctor told me only to swim throughout the pregnancy if the water is chlorinated because swimming in lakes or ocean water that could be high in bacteria can cause vaginal infections that could damage the cervix or risk the pregnancy. I was surprised by this but I will be following it.

I went swimming when I was feeling good enough to go. Still going swimming in my second trimester.

We have a pool and I went swimming today im 12 weeks and went swimming 2 weeks ago at the lake and went swimming at 8 weeks while on vacation and heard babies heart just beating away last night so I am gonna say it's fine!

My OB said the pool and ocean are fine because of the chlorine in the pool and the salt in the ocean. She said most bacteria can't live in either. She said to avoid the lake.

Going swimming at a pool is great from what I've heard. I went to the ocean on vacation at 9 weeks and babies are perfect. I'll be going back at 14 weeks and plan on doing the same thing
