How long did it take you to get period after stoping the pill?

Hello. I've been on the pill for 10 years. Yes, 10 years lol. Several years ago I stopped for three months with no period. I had to go back on the pill just to get it again.

I'm now married almost a year, and stopped taking the pill finally last month. I was supposed to get my period last week, but haven't. I know I shouldn't expect to, but was curious how long it might have taken you to get your period after stopping the pill.

Also, did you experience any symptoms after stopping the pill? This week I am bloated and a little cramps here and there. I got a lot of cramps last week which is when I was supposed to get my period, but it never came. I have no other pregnancy symptoms besides those. And we aren't "trying" right now, but have used condoms and withdrawal.

I got off of birth control two months ago after taking them for 10 years.  There are quite a few side effects to coming off of birth control.  You can easily Google and read more about them.  It will take up to a year for your body to get back to its own cycle prior to taking birth control.  Some of the effects are nausea, increased cramping, increased sex drive, increased acne and your boobs may swell.

My first period came right on time.  The second one did not and it came about a week later.  I'm kinda interested in seeing how this next one acts.

I was on a minipill for 10yrs, stopped & got a period 28 days later. It was the same deal both times i was on combined bcp's (but those i was only on for 3-6mo before i had it with side effects).

I was on the shot for 7 years and then got on the pill for 1.5 years and I stopped in May and my period came right on track as usual. I've only had 1 period so I'm not sure if it will continue to be regular.

It took me 6 months to get a period and then for the following 6 months I had a period every 2weeks. Don't be surprised if your body is a little out of whack for a while!

I was the pill 10 years as well. I stopped the pill in December and have yet to have a period. I did have irregular periods prior, so that plays a role. I have had some symptoms like increased acne, bloating and cramps
