TTC and different beliefs

I was brought up in a Christian home I believe in God but don't go to church regularly. My SO was not brought up with religion and doesn't believe in my faith. We just recently started to get serious about TTC baby #1. We both love eachother and respect eachother views. But tonight I asked him if he was actually really serious as we haven't had sex in over a week, granted he is sick but just been weird between us I feel. We always talk about our feelings and what night and tonight when I asked if he really wanted this he said well I just wish we would save more and we haven't talked about religion. And my heart just sank I have researched my heart out because I have PCOS and want to concieve but now that this is come up idk what to think. Any advice can this work or???
