Provera

Not sure what group to put this in, but I had a mc a couple months ago. My doc gave me Provera to start up my period since it doesn't look like it's coming naturally. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with it? She did not tell me we wouldn't continue trying so we didn't hesitate. Ovulation was 6/3 so I'm about 6 dpo, it's a slight chance that I would've implanted already but I want to test before I start taking this to avoid another mc!!!
