When do they start doing the cervical check?

I'm 32+1 day and I was just curious what's in store for me over the next couple of weeks..... 
When do they do the cervical check? 
What other tests do they do?

Mine won't check cervix unless I ask for it.

My doctor told me they would start at 37 weeks

36 weeks is usually when they check.

My doctor is going to check mine at 38 and 39 weeks, but I'm being induced at 39+3 so it's more for us to know whether we need to go in the night before for cervical ripening or not.

I don't understand the point of checking the cervix so early! I didn't have mine checked until my due date. It is not a good predictor of when labour will start and its soooo uncomfortable. Knowing that you are 1cm at 39 weeks means nothing. You could be stuck there for weeks.

Mine said next vist which I'll be 36 weeks then he will do a strep b test and check then. After that he will see me every week until I have her.

They checked my cervix today for the first time and I'm 37+4

Mine asked if I wanted it done at 36 week appointment. I told him I knew I wasn't but since we were doing the strep b test anyways. Lol

Mine Gyn starts checking at 36 weeks.

Mine does the group B between  35-37 and then after that they don't look again til 38 weeks then every week after.
