Gender reveal party when the time comes?

Since before I even got pregnant I wanted to have a gender reveal party that way we find out with everyone else and it's just a big happy moment surrounded by loved ones. The only thing is I realized I don't have a lot of friends here and a big chunk of my family lives 3 hours away(don't think they'd drive just for that). Is it even worth it to have an actual party or should I just find out at the scan and let everyone know?

No, not doing it... I don't really want the barrage of pink (or moustaches) that come from telling everyone the sex of the baby ... (Gender won't even be determined for years)...

But I will get a superman or wonder woman onesie and give it to my husband when he gets back from his conference - I find out while he is gone since we did NIPT. ☺️

I'm going to have my baby shower be my gender reveal party - so my mom and sisters will know, and decorate the shower to whatever the gender is. This makes it so it's only one event for people to attend, add some fun, and (selfishly) I've read you get more necessities and less cutest clothes when the gender is unknown!! Could be an option if you have family far away that would plan to attend your shower!

Would it be possible to get your family in the same place and do the reveal over Skype? That way no one needs to travel the 3 hours. Or,
I have noticed gender reveal scratch-off cards online (Amazon, beau-coup). You could mail one to everyone. (I would get extras and test one to make sure it's the right gender card). I think that would still make for a lovely surprise! You could even toss in baby themed confetti! :)

We r doing an elective ultrasound at Visions of Life in Greenville and we just invited our immediate family to do it with us so we all find out together! We did a gender reveal party last time and had fun but we have one boy and one girl so I kinda just want a little intimate moment with family that can be there

Since I couldn't tell my family in person that we are pregnant my husband and I flew down to do the reveal. We did it with just family and had a cake made that we cut open at the end of brunch and it revealed that we are having a girl! It was a nice way to include my family since they are so far away plus it's always nice to see everyone.

We are just doing a  small BBQ w our parents, my brother and his fan, and my best friend and her hubby. I don't think anyone else really cares that much!

I wanted to have one too but we would have to have the party an hour away bc that's where everyone lives and we will be in the middle of painting our new house and moving in so we decided not to do it. Instead I'm going to go straight after finding out and purchase a cute boy or girl outfit and sit it beside the scan and take a picture of it then send it to everyone we are close to. After everyone responds we will post it online.

Absolutely! Just video it and put it on Fb! That way people from all over can enjoy. If no fb, then email it to them!
