Cyrus charity shenanigans

I'm gonna start out and say I dislike Miley Cyrus (I know I'm probably not spelling the name right, please omit)

My niece was over and was sharing a post on fb about cyrus taking naked pictures, covered in mud, with a pig.. to get attention.. for a charity organization.

So, of course, being that my niece is a avid Miley fan, tries to defined her from my sister (her mom) and I.

A line of this short post was Mily saying she knows people will look if she shows her boobs, and she wants people to look . . .*for charity of course. So basically, "I'm using the female form I'm given to advertise for something". Because that's a new idea, and completely going to be ok with everyone currently trying to fight the over sexualization of womens bodies. You can argue "nudes are empowering", and so on, I won't go there, but let me alert you to the fact that this is different. She didn't do this to advertise herself, no. This is the same sexual stimulus in media consistently used for advertisement, be it a physical product, idea or movement. The majority of advertising uses attractive women to draw in the flock. This is exactly what Mily's doing as well, and although the draw is for a good cause, it's still wrong. Think of it this way, you can slaughter people, and give all the wallets to charity, but it doesn't make what you did right.
