I have been doing research on this as well! I'm a First time stay at home mom, and I am trying to get the most bang for my buck! I have been reading about ALL free and clear and Purex which are cheaper than draft which at one store I have seen starting at 10.99 for a small bottle. Figured I would try these brands on my clothes before using them on the baby's, because using the ALL or Purex I would be able to buy one laundry soap! I'm team gain normally which is expensive, but I normally wash for 2 people once a week.

I used Dreft on baby #1 & will probably use it with baby #2, but I heard it has some really bad chemicals in it? I'm going to do some more research on it. If not Dreft again, I heard Tide Free & Clear is really good.

Being this is my 4th Baby, for our last baby, I figure that my clothes along with daddies clothes are still going to be washed in our regular ALL detergent and he just as all the others lived on our chests wouldn't he still be in contact with the detergent? So we decided not to get the fancy different detergent stuff last time and everything was a ok so doing the same this time :) I love the smell of Dreft though!

The one you use normally. I'm not washing baby clothes in a different soap than the one I use because when I pick up baby, baby will still be touching my clothes and the blankets and towels and sheets and all that stuff so what's the point? I use tide free usually, but I am now using nellies all natural laundry soda and finding it much nicer and feel like my clothes are cleaner. It is a powder soap though and not a liquid but I've never had a problem so far even using cold to wash everything but my towels.
