Hospital bag question?

Question

So these are the clothes I'm packing in my hospital bag for my little girl. I know the hospital provides clothes but I want her to wear her own. So my question is, is this too many, too little? All of it is newborn size except for the one purple sleeper which is size 0-3 months. Should I pack more 0-3 in case she comes out a chunky baby? Or should I be good? I'm a first time mom and so clueless on all this stuff!

I would pack mostly sleepers and only one real outfit to go home with.

I have like 6 outfits and sleepers. Premee, new born and 0-3 months. All ready. They provide diapers to but I have like 10 of those.

Where I live they will take off personal  clothing of the baby and keep him/her swaddled in the blanket! I only do take home outfits.

I leave my babies in a diaper and swaddled until we go home. It's good for skin to skin bonding in the first few days, which also helps with breastfeeding

I loved bringing our own outfits. Personal opinion tho. I feel my baby should have soft new clothes. Not what others have wore. 
And we also took a thin baby blanket and wrapped the cot mattress with it. The nurses thought It was a good idea and didnt have a problem with it. We were there for 4 days

I plan on taking a going home outfit and some hats. The hospital stuff is fine because they keep baby wrapped up the whole time anyway you can't tell what they are wearing. Hopefully you will only be there one or two days.

Don't take the short ones... a newborn should wear long clothes.  small babies can't keep their body warmth as well as we do, so the instructions are to let them wear one more outfit than we do

Yeah I agree with a previous post, only sleepers and an outfit to go home in. It's cold in those hospitals so you definitely won't need the shorts and tank top outfit. Newborn is probably fine. I think the baby has to be at least 9 lbs to not fit in newborn. My son was 7 lbs 10oz and wore nb for a month.

I love the gowns they provide- regardless of babies sex. Soooo easy to change & they are wrapped up most of the time anyway. I'll just take in my own hats and a nice outfit for home. I always want to flog the gowns (I've had 3babies already) as they are so good. I've purchased a couple for at home this time as well. I say easy is best when you are concentrating on the basics at the start. Bit if you've decided, and that's what you are packing- if it turns out not enough, they will give you a gown anyway!
