Home remedies for IBS?!

I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow. But Im a grown woman who can't swallow pills 😐  so I dont know what they can give me for it. Does anybody have any home remedies for it? To help with the constant diarrhea & stomach pains? Please! I'll try anything at this point. 😩

Im on the same boat. I use peppermint oil to help the pain. I put it in my water and sip it throughout the day. I also buy peppermint pills (which obviously wont help you, as you cant take them)...i also have been told by my doctor to track my diet to see what maybe triggering my ibs. And to cut out a certain food for a couple of days and see if that helps. My doctor told me its pretty much a guessing game and it can be different for everyone of what triggers it. Good luck 😊

Obviously not all at once but it helps relieve diarrhea.

Peppermint tea works well as a soother. Try to figure out what foods trigger your IBS and avoid them. My list includes lactose, nuts, alcohol, garlic and onions. Sleep deprivation and stress also exacerbate it. If you google Fodmap diets they can give you a list of foods to cut out and reintroduce to help you determine what triggers you. Good luck x

I also have IBS and have taken Bentyl for years. It's a very tiny pill that is easy to swallow, you could easily put it in a small bite of food too if needed.i also used to take belladonna- another small easy pill to swallow. Both are for use when have symptoms- they help to decrease the cramping/ contractions of the muscles.
