My first apartment out of college was haunted. I used to get a really erie feeling in my bedroom like someone was watching me sleep. I always had to sleep with the tv or light on. I used to smell cigarette smoke in my bedroom but my landlord said no one who ever lived in that apartment was a smoker. My radio would turn on and off on it's own. My Christmas lights on my tree would turn off then as soon as I would get up to fix them they would turn back on. Id come home from work and all my magnets would be on the floor in front of my fridge. And when I would hang up laundry to dry, the shirt sleeve from one shirt would somehow move to be resting on the shoulder of the one in front of it. Like someone was putting a hand on the shoulder... It was super creepy. I lived alone at the time and I didn't even finish out my lease, I moved after 9 months lol

I was 15 and  in San Antonio, TX (my hometown) and I was at a friend's sleep over, I was super uncomfortable on the floor so I got into her recliner.
I was asleep for maybe a hour and the chair started rocking SUPER hard back and forth and it was freezing cold (cold in TX?? In May???? Everyone else was passed out, and I was the last one to fall asleep. 
My friend told me the next morning that she NEVER sits in that spot because the realtor told them they found the previous owner hanging there.

When I was younger me and my best friend were practically attached at the hip so we were constantly at one another's houses, and one day I was over at her new house and it always felt creepy but we kinda shrugged it off.
Well the next day I was hanging clothes up for her (she got hit by a squirrel the day before so her hand was swollen) and I turned around to grab the rest of the clothes and a hanger hit me in the back of the head. I looked up and she was still on the bed and we up and ran out of the room.
Anyway the same night we told her brother about it who had some friends over so we choose to all sleep in the living room where we would be together since her mom wasn't going to home til late and it was just us kids. That night we fell asleep and we all woke up at the same time, to loud slam on the wall. Of course we were terrified as that wall was my best friends room..
Then we got to talking about the dream we all had, it was the same dream about a lady with white crazy hair screaming into the window behind the tree. The tv was nothing but static when we all woke up as well..

That was probably the creepiest thing that happened to us. We also heard footsteps on the roof a couple times, always checked around the house as it was winter and there was snow on the ground and there wasn't foot prints anywhere.. Once she moved to a different house the basement was the creepy thing.. You would hear steps come all the way up and then stop at the door before turning around and going back down the stairs. Sometimes when you came home you would see the dining room chairs pulled out like someone had been sitting there.

Her houses always had things happen in them... Just my story though. Probably not that scary to some but scared us at 15/16

My only other experience was when I was 6, my grandmother was very sick and was diagnosed with bone cancer.. I remember very well knowing that she wouldn't be here much longer and I would cry as soon as they tried to make me leave..

Soon after she died, and I begged to go to the funeral to say goodbye, to which my mother told me I stated after looking at her in the casket, "why would I be afraid of grandma, she looks like an angel."

But, I was laying in bed with my grandpa, I was 6 and my little brother was laying beside me and it was late and very dark. I had randomly woke up and looked up to see the time and there stood my grandma. I remembered calling out to her and nothing happened, she just smiled and reached her hand out and touched the bed. Then it hit me that I had said goodbye to her and that this wasn't right. I was terrified. I covered my head and tried to not wake anyone up.

I told my grandpa about it the next morning and he told me he dreamed that she was watching over her grandkids to make sure we were all still okay.

Shortly after she passed, I always stayed all weekend at their house, my mom was in nursing school so I ended up going to kindergarten where my grandparents lived. I remember crying uncontrollably to go home, I had never wanted to leave their house before and it was late at night. My grandpa loaded me and my brother up and took us home. The next morning my grandpa called the house and let my parents know his house burned down early that morning..
I feel like my grandma was telling me I didn't need to be there because of that.

Another one that's not really ghosts:
My oldest had night terrors from 4 months until almost 3 years.
Once he started talking he would tell me about dying in a boat crash by a waterfall.
He began to tell details about his "other mommy", and the boat had hit rocks and they fell overboard, he had broken his finger (always the same finger, never changed that), and that he can't wait to be 10 because he hasn't turned 10 yet.
Flash forward and he turned 5 in April.
He doesn't remember saying this.... I even showed him a video of him explaining it and he thinks it's fake!
He had a deathly fear of water and would scream in just a bathtub! He still doesn't like having me rinse his hair of shampoo and doesn't like to be held tightly.

When I was around 8 years old I was lying in my mom's bed when I looked up and saw a lady in white standing at the foot. I woke my mom and told her to look but she didn't see anything. I won't ever forget it.

Well i have two. When I was younger, early 20's, I lived in a rental house owned by my parents. The guy who lived there before me was into the acult and was just weird, but when we moved in in the master bedroom in the closet there was a pentagram done in what looked like blood with animal bones in the middle and some container filled with something. We cleaned it up but with in the first three months of living there we started to notice weird things. Things would go missing and found in weird areas of the house and such. I had two roommates but we chalked it up to we were all playing pranks on one another not thinking two much of it. One night my friends who were a couple went to stay at his mom's house out of state and i was in my room with my dog. I was settling I. To go to sleep when she started growling and barking. No sooner did she start this when I heard my back door which was dead bolted and locked fly open and slam shut which was quit a feet because this was a huge and heavy door that was kind of hard to slam (believe me tried to recreate it). I also heard smashing I opened my bedroom door and my dog goes flying out and all of our glass dishes were smashed on the floor. I lived in this house for 5 years with diffrence roommates and such and everyone saw heard or experienced  something not to mention if you went in the back yard after sunset you felt like you had to run through it just to be safe.  My parents later sold the house and the guy who owns it now moved out very shortly after and refuses to sleep there.

My second actually is the current house we live in we have lived here for less then 3 months and my son who is 6 has said he has seen a ghost on many cases and we have heard doors to our kitchen open and close on their own (nicely though in this case) our youngest son will stare and talk to something that isn't there and we have had alarms go off at weird times or hear pounding on the doors at 2 am (this ti.e happens a lot with the activity).

Growing up I lived in a house that was hunted by what my parents called a soldier's soul.. growing up we were never scared when we saw him.. at night we would hear his foot steps through the house at night.. 
The house that my parents live in now is kind of weird.  She had someone come look at her house and they told her that a long time ago a father was taking away and his daughter was killed so now that little girl goes to each and every house looking for her father.. my oldest daughter says the little girl just wants her daddy..

The second house I moved into was strange from the start. I would often see shadows and hear footsteps. I even caught a few evp's there. Nothing of note in my new place though.

I lived in a neighborhood that was an old cemetery before back when the Indians n Cowboys were alive people told me they felt stuff n saw things 
Within 2 years living their I saw shadows n things pass me in the corner of my eye 
3 days later 
 I slept in the living room n around 2:00 I was. Awake and I had my legs bented up n just closed my eyes I was still awake though and that's when I felt something grab my inner thigh hard!! Like a man I opened my eyes and screamed in fear n cried my mom n dad heard me n searched the house my mom was in shock n she thought someone was in the house  2nd thing

My mom had a strange dream about Indians that tied her up in a field of weat n let the crocodiles tear her arms and legs off she said she cried n tried to get away but couldn't she woke up and couldn't move she was sweaty n she felt as if it was real she even screamed loud as she slept my dad heard her. 
3rd as I tried to sleep I felt a hot spot on my chest as I closed my I woke got up 5 minuets later n saw a shadow in my hall way  ever since living their we felt as things or someone been watching us

I woke up at 8 am my mom n I were on the couch she fell asleep I was awake nobody else was home or entered the kitchen or rooms at all 
I was watching ghost hunters n I then heard a noise in the kitchen 
I put the volume down 5 minuets later some thing moved our dishes because plates n cups fell I screamed my head off

This was when I was 15  n 16
