Anyone uses menstrual cup for their period? What is your experience with it?

I have such irregular and heavy periods that I was spending a fortune on towels and could never get comfy with one on, didn't get on with tampons and figured I'd give the cup a go...

So glad I did, saved a mountain of money and I find it much more comfortable than towels.

I can go anywhere between having to empty it every 2 hours (my heaviest days usually 3-8 ) and 8 hours (usually days 1 + 2 and 8-10, just depends on what my body feels like.

If I'm at work or in town I give it a wipe and put it back, I carry sex toy cleaning wipes for this (the ones that are safe to use on yourself and toys), they're small and discreet and can be slid in a pocket or bag without anyone knowing! If I'm at home I wipe it with paper then run it under the tap for a moment. At the end of my period I put it in a tub of water with a baby bottle sterilising tablet just to be sure it's clean :)

Sorry! Maybe a bit too much info but it's helpful to have all the facts if you're considering it!

If you're considering trying one I would say it takes a couple cycles to get used to it so wear a liner to avoid any mishaps but they are honestly the best invention for women!

I love it. I have the disposable ones but I usually use the same one for each period. I got mine on Amazon. Hardly tell I'm on my period. No smell. No leaks. I actually always used heavy tampons and thought I bled heavily. I was surprised how little there actually was. I watched YouTube videos first. It took some getting used it but I hardly feel it. You can leave it in for 12 hours. I am using the for trying to get pregnant. Keeps the swimmers inside and where they need to be.
