How to overcome past relationship issues in a new relationship

I have been with my boyfriend for 8 months now. It was love at first sight for us and we plan on getting married soon. He's divorced with 2 kids and has a crazy ex-wife. That part doesn't bother me too much. I know they cheated on each other and I had assumed I guess that it was sexual cheating for both of them. He just told me recently that his cheating was emotional not sexual. I'm more scared of him talking to someone else and falling for them that way then cheating on me with a random girl. Now I just can't seem to get passed that. We both have our phones locked and we don't get into each others business because we DO trust each other. But now that I know his previous cheating was emotional I am a lil scared of getting hurt. Am I wrong for this or am I just over thinking? Advice would be greatly appreciated thank you
