Pain after ovulation

This past cycle, my dr prescribe me to be on femara 2.5mg on days 5-9. I took those and I got a positive ovulation test. After the ovulation occurred, I began to experience sharp, period like cramps on both sides of my uterus throughout the days some lasting just seconds and other lasting at least 10 minutes. My progesterone labs were 7.5 this month, but the dr wants it to be a 12. Has anyone else experienced pain like this? Period is due on Friday or Saturday. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests and they were BFNs. Any advise?
