Do your breasts hurt at the beginning or during your ovualtion?

My boyfriend pointed out that I have been complaining more about the sharp pains I have in mainly my left breast. It's also the left but not as much. I started my ovualtion cycle yesterday & that's when my boobs started hurting. Has it happened to you or do you even notice it's when ovulation is near?
