Omg I hate being lied to. I really hate it when people make the lie seem like a blaunt truth when it's a blaunt lie...what do you normally do when someone lie to you? I don't understand people

I absolutely HATE being lied to because I feel like the person is insulting my intelligence. . .like I'm dumb enough to believe what they're telling me.  Usually, I'll start asking questions that require a lot of creativity to keep the lie going so I can watch them squirm and stutter through the answers.

When I first start dating a guy, I tell him how honesty is everything to me. I go so far as to explain to him that if I ever wear something and ask if it makes me look fat, I want him to actually be honest and tell me because I wouldn't ask if I truly didn't know and didn't want an honest answer.

To make sure he gets the point, a few months in to our relationship, I'll put on something that makes me look fat - like something that's completely unflattering to my figure. And I'll ask him if it makes me look fat.

I've had guys say no. And I've called them out on it.

Why is honesty so hard for people!!?
