I'm so glad you posted this! I saw one for the first time yesterday on my ceiling! I know it's Not a Daddy Longlegs because of how oval his body is.
I'm confirming Samantha when she said Cellar Spider. 
I also researched them! They like moist environments (so invest in a dehumidifier) and they like to live near other Cellar Spiders. They are harmless to humans and will eat about any bug. When food is scarce, they have been known to crawl into a spider's web and wiggle around as if it were a trapped insect - the unsuspecting creater of the web doesn't stand a chance!
