Routines..?

Question

Does anyone have any basic routine ideas for a 1-2 month old? 
I just want to start introducing a basic routine to start with for him and me to get use to. :)

Weve been struggling to get a nighttime routine down, baby is 8 weeks today, and I know what I'd like to do (bath, snuggle up to eat with story, sign to sleep) but he's still so sporadic with his eating and sleeping it's hard to get this going. I've got it down better during the day - wake up 8-9am for bottle, diaper, wipe down/oral care, outfit for the day, then tummy time, swing while I straighten up, bottle, nap, bottle, go to the park to walk, bottle (then the routine disintegrates into a very sporadic eating/napping situation with varying degrees of fussiness) lol

The first month of my little girls life has been very hectic with weddings and birthdays and such. But we usually put her to bed between 8:30 & 10:30 & she has no problem staying asleep until around 1:30-3:30. Of course she gets a nice bottle before bed & a lotion massage as well. When she gets a little older we will start giving her a bath more frequently at night to obviously clean her but also to help her relax. She is a very good baby. Love her!

I do a bath then lotion/massage and sing to him every night. I'm going to add a book in a couple weeks.

I like to do little things like tummy time once in the morning, once in the eve and massage once a day with lotion, bath every third night and we read a book every night ;)

Hi ladies, can you recommend the books to read to the 6 week old?

My daughter will be 7 weeks tomorrow. She wakes up for a feeding around 6:30-7am stay awake until 8ish wakes up again around 10-1130 eats goes back to bed when she's done eating and then sleeps until 3 wakes up eats and stays awake on and off until 10-11pm eats and goes to bed until 4:30 when she wakes up for her soother and then goes back to bed until 6:30-7.

I recommend looking up moms on call. They have a book that has a daytime and nighttime schedule for all ages. I've been using it for 3 weeks now and my baby is sleeping 5 hours at night! The iBook is$10.99 or you can order the hard copy for $16. It also has lots of other information in it regarding baby health care and general tips.
