35 Weeks... Contractions and UTI

I went into l&d this morning for constant lower back pain, cramping, headache, and nausea. The monitor showed small consistent contractions every 3-4 minutes. My cervix was closed when the nurse checked. My urine came back positive for UTI and I was sent home on antibiotics.... My question is if anyone has gone through something similar, did you go into labor shortly after? Or did the antibiotics seem to stop contractions? I'm home and still miserable, and just started having diarrhea (sorry TMI) and have had constant brown discharge....
