Am I wrong for being upset

When we found out we were pregnant we told our closest friends, mostly because we rent our basement to them and I was having such obvious symptoms they were going to figure it out since they live with us. I mentioned to them last night that we were going to tell our parents on Father's Day. We are both very close with our families and want them involveded. My friend goes on to criticize the idea of telling them when I will only be 7 weeks saying I shouldn't get people's hopes up. I also mentioned how much I have been cramping and she responds "oh so the baby isn't healthy anymore." I don't know if I am just having pregnancy hormones and being emotional, or if she is being a little harsh
