Can you tell which side the placenta is on?

Sabrina • My first love, my son, is 4 years old and now I am pregnant with a baby girl due 12/23/15!!!
I cant even see the placenta but then again I never looked for one before. Can you see it and if so what side? This is an abdominal u/s at 6w3d
