Would you give your son his father's name

I feel so bad for saying this but does anyone disagree with naming their son after his father my husband wants a Jr so bad but I can't stand the thought of it we are ttc and the thought of having a son scares the shit out of me cause I'd want him to have his own name not a hand me down plus don't want to make the hubby mad any thoughts
