Issues with the cat

Kacey • So close to meeting my rainbow baby, Carson ♡

Let me preface this by saying I am a person who believes a pet is a life long commitment that should not be taken lightly. And I have had various pets all my life with no issues.

When my husband and I first moved in together, I already had a cat. I've had her since 15 and she's very well behaved. We ended up adopting a second cat, also very well behaved and loving.

We ended up getting a third cat, a kitten, because his boss couldn't keep her and she would have gone to a kill shelter. And I was basically guilted into it.

We rent housing. Our credit is not good enough to buy a home yet.

The third cat makes it very hard to find nice housing. Apartment or otherwise.

Now, this wouldn't be so horrible, and I could deal with it, if the. At were nice to me. She loves my husband. But I never know if it's safe for me to touch her. The other day she wanted my food, so she came up and scratched me unprovoked.

The only reason I have not pushed rehoming her, is because of my husband's depression. I know he would be extremely upset if I made us give her up, and would probably resent me.

She attacks the other cats, and myself. And I know we could easily find somewhere really nice to live without her.

I'm starting to really resent her.
